Rick, Anne and I went down to Illinois to visit Grandma.  She is doing as well as can be expected.  Spring is a week or so ahead down there, and there were lilac bushes in full, full flower.  They were, alas, along the Interstate so no wonderful scent.  The spice bush (viburnum) are in flower here in Madison with its intoxicating smell, so the lilacs can't be far behind....
