January 23 Block

At least the sun shone today and the temperatures rose from -12 degrees when I got up to 19 degrees by the end of the afternoon.  But I need flowers to go with the sunshine!  Hopefully there will soon be inexpensive bunches of jonquils at the grocery store to brighten the kitchen.  Our second batch of paper whites are growing but have not yet bloomed.  The white flowers and heady fragrance will help once they're open....
